James Howie

James Howie is a Computational Biologist at the Medical University of Vienna’s Center for Cancer Research, specializing in cancer bioinformatics. He holds a PhD in Evolution and Genetics from UCL and has extensive experience in evolutionary genomics, including studies on host-pathogen-vector dynamics and sexual selection. His work integrates robust statistical and computational skills, contributing significantly to the understanding of genetic dynamics in various biological contexts. Previously, James has held research positions across Europe, applying cutting-edge genomic technologies to address complex biological questions. His academic journey is complemented by an MSc from Imperial College London and a BSc from the University of Sussex.
