Milena Rud is currently an Associate Expert at UNIDO, based in Vienna, Austria, where she specializes in Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence. Since January 2023, Milena has been instrumental in advancing the division’s strategies in these cutting-edge fields. Her role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities from project management to high-level communications and advocacy.

Prior to her current position, Milena served as a Project Associate within the same division from January 2020 to December 2022. In this capacity, she provided substantial project management support across all phases of the project cycle, including design, formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Her work also extended to conducting impactful research on global and country-level development agendas and their implications for various industries and regions.

Milena distinguished herself as a communications focal point, developing and coordinating communication strategies, press releases, social media posts, and other outreach materials. She also contributed significantly to the organization of international conferences and supported the division’s gender mainstreaming activities, showcasing her versatility and commitment to fostering inclusive digital transformation strategies.
