Peter Schernhuber is a distinguished figure in the Austrian film industry, currently serving in the Film Department at the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service, and Sport in Vienna. His career is marked by his tenure as Co-Director of Diagonale, the Festival of Austrian Film, where he led critical explorations of Austrian cinema from 2015 to 2023. Prior to this, he was the Festival Director at YOUKI International Youth Media Festival, nurturing young media talent. Peter holds a Mag.phil in Theatre, Film, and Media Studies, and History from Universität Wien, underscoring his deep academic foundation in the arts.
