Sebastian Weny is an expert in data protection and information security with numerous certifications, including Fellow in Privacy (FIP), Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/A, CIPP/E), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Compliance Officer, and Certified Data Protection Officer. He is trained in ISO 20700 and serves as a lecturer at Uni Graz, Uni Wien, and for the IAPP. Sebastian is a project collaborator on EU projects and an active member of RAILS and AFA. He holds positions such as KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair for IAPP Austria and has been a full-time employee at the Austrian Data Protection Authority since January 2023. His past roles include internships at Norton Rose Fulbright and aigner business solutions GmbH. Additionally, he is a volunteer judge for the Chamber of Lower Bavaria Table Tennis and holds several sports-related roles.
